Supervisor of Elections Office Sends Out Military and Overseas Mail Ballots
A total of 3,451 ballots have been issued to-date for the 2018 Primary Election

Viera, FL – July 13, 2018 – Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott announced 3,451 Mail Ballots were issued to military and overseas voters for the Primary Election.  As permitted by the Military and Overseas Voters Empowerment Act, ballots are both mailed and emailed to the Military and Overseas voters; of the 3,451 issued ballots, 2,110 were delivered to the USPS and 1,341 ballots were emailed.

"Casting a ballot for military and overseas voters shouldn’t be cumbersome or a burden and my office strives to make the process seamless by educating voters of the options available to them,” stated Supervisor Scott. “Each year my office sees the number of mail ballot requests increase, so we strive to ensure voters are aware mail ballots, containing a properly completed certificate, are the first counted in every election.”

Currently, 86,415 civilian stateside and 817 military county ballots are scheduled to be mailed on July 31, 2018. Voters can request a Mail Ballot or track the status of their ballot through the Supervisor of Elections website at www.VoteBrevard.com or by calling 321-633-2127.

Mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7:00 p.m. on August 28, 2018.
