Supervisor of Elections Office Sends Out Domestic Mail Ballots
A total of 97,727 ballots have been issued for the 2018 Primary Election

Viera, FL – Aug. 1, 2018 – Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott announced 94,208 Mail Ballots were sent to domestic voters yesterday for the August 28th Primary Election. This is in addition to the 3,519 Mail Ballots sent on July 13 to Military and Overseas voters.

“Even with the election four weeks away, we’ve already seen an increase in the number of Mail Ballots requested, compared to the 2016 Primary, for this election. 44 percent of the total ballots cast in the 2016 Primary were Mail Ballots,” stated Lori Scott, Supervisor of Elections. “I’d like to remind voters they have through August 22, 2018 to request a Mail Ballot be sent to them for the Primary Election. Voters can track the status of their Mail Ballot through my website at www.VoteBrevard.com or by calling 321-633-2127.”

Per Florida law, mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7:00 p.m. on August 28, 2018.

Additionally, Sample Ballots have been posted to www.VoteBrevard.com. Voters can also verify their voter registration status, update their party affiliation, request a Mail Ballot, or get a map to their polling location through the website. “Prior to each election, I recommend voters verify the information on their voter record through the website or by calling my office,” Scott said.
