Supervisor of Elections Office Sends Out Domestic Mail Ballots for the 2018 General Election
A total of 100,701 ballots have been issued

Viera, FL – Oct. 9, 2018 – Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott announced 100,701 Mail Ballots were sent to domestic voters today for the November 6th General Election. This is in addition to the 3,344 Mail Ballots sent on September 21st to Military and Overseas voters.

“Since August 1st, my office has received 10,570 new mail ballot requests, reflecting the growing trend of voters making their mail box their ballot box,” stated Lori Scott, Supervisor of Elections. Additionally, mail ballot voters will be receiving “I Voted by Mail” stickers inside their Mail Ballot packet. “With more than 100,000 voters choosing to vote by mail, I look forward to them proudly wearing their new stickers.”

Additionally, Sample Ballots have been posted to www.VoteBrevard.com. Voters can also verify their voter registration status, update their party affiliation, request a Mail Ballot, or get a map to their polling location through the website. “Prior to each election, I recommend voters verify the information on their voter record through the website or by calling my office,” Scott said.

The General Election ballot is two-sided, so it is important voters pay special attention to the instructions they receive in their Mail Ballot packet. “Something not all voters may know is they are able to track the status of their Mail Ballot through my website at www.VoteBrevard.com or by calling 321-633-2127,” shared Supervisor Scott.

Per Florida law, mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7:00 p.m. on November 6, 2018.
