Supervisor of Elections Mails Over 2,000 Mail Ballots for the 2014 Primary Election

Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott mailed 2,093 Mail (Absentee) Ballots to military and overseas voters today for the Primary Election to be held on August 26, 2014.

Military and civilian voters, who are currently overseas, also have the option to receive their Mail Ballot via e-mail or fax. Supervisor Scott emailed an additional 836 Mail Ballots today to those military and civilian voters.

An additional 79,160 voters have requested a Mail Ballot for the upcoming Primary Election. Mail Ballots for stateside voters will be sent on July 29, 2014. “Every election, a growing number of Brevard voters choose to make their mail box their ballot box,” said Supervisor Scott. “We anticipate receiving over 90,000 Mail Ballot requests for the Primary. I encourage voters to track the status of their Mail Ballot through the election process on my website at www.VoteBrevard.com/VoterLookup.”

Voters can request a Mail Ballot online at www.VoteBrevard.com or by phone at (321)633-2127. The deadline for voters to request to receive their Mail Ballot by mail is 5:00 p.m. on August 20, 2014. Voters may return their Mail Ballot via U.S. Mail or in person at any Elections Office location. Voted Mail Ballots for the 2014 Primary Election must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day (August 26, 2014).
