Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott to Temporarily Relocate Two Assisted Living Facility Polling Locations for the March 17th 2020 Presidential Preference Primary

Viera, FL – March 12, 2020 – In accordance with guidelines outlined in Emergency Order No. 20-002, released by the Department of Emergency Management on March 11th, Supervisor Scott is temporarily relocating the following two polling locations for the March 17th Presidential Preference Primary:

Precincts 201 / 240 - Courtenay Springs Village has been temporarily relocated to:
Kiwanis Island Park Gym
50 Kiwanis Island Park Rd.
Merritt Island, FL 32952

Precinct 509 - Trinity Towers East has been temporarily relocated to:
Front Street Civic Center
2205 Front Street
Melbourne, FL 32901

“The safety of Brevard’s 437,905 voters and 1,350 pollworkers remain a top priority of mine,” said Supervisor Lori Scott. “Although Brevard has not had a reported case of COVID-19, we will continue to be vigilant, as we have been with the 67,000+ voters who have already cast their ballots through Early Voting and Vote-by-Mail for this election. My office will continue to take precautionary measures, including equipping all polling locations with hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. In addition, poll workers will be sanitizing surfaces every hour, per CDC recommendations.”

Voters wishing to vote by mail may appoint a designee to pick up their Mail Ballot. Both the voter and their designee will need to fill out the Affidavit to Pick-Up Vote-by-Mail Ballot, which can be found on VoteBrevard.com.
