Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott Mails Domestic and Overseas Mail Ballots
for the 2020 General Election

Viera, FL – Oct. 1, 2020 – Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott announced 171,080 domestic mail ballots were sent today to voters for the November 3rd General Election. This is in addition to the 4,340 mail ballots previously sent to overseas military and overseas civilian voters.

“We have seen a tremendous increase in mail ballot requests over the 2016 General Election,” said Supervisor Scott. “The 2020 General Election ballot is a two-page ballot containing 6 constitutional amendments in addition to local referendums. It is important voters check both sides of both pages of their ballot for races and issues. As a reminder, voters do not have to vote on every race/issue for their ballot to be counted.”

Voters have the option to return their voted mail ballot through the United States Postal Service, in person to any of the four election administrative offices, or at any of Brevard’s 10 Early Voting locations during the early voting time period. Additionally, and new this year, secure drop boxes are located at all four Administrative Offices for voters wishing to return their voted mail ballot after hours.

Voters can verify they are on the Mail Ballot Request List by clicking on the “My Registration / Mail Ballot Status” tab at the top of the VoteBrevard.gov home page. Voters who vote by mail can also track their mail ballot through the entire process on VoteBrevard.gov: the day they requested it; the day it was mailed to them; and the day their voted mail ballot is received back in the Election Office.

The last day for a voter to request a mail ballot be sent to them for the Nov. 3rd General Election is 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020.  Mail ballots must be received in the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7:00 p.m. election night.

“My office continues to be the trusted source for Brevard County election information,” said Supervisor Scott. #BeElectionReady #TrustedInfo2020
