Friday, October 25, 2013 Logic and Accuracy Testing Conducted on Voting Equipment For more information contact: Todd Parrish Phone: (321)431-1705 Fax: (321)633-2130 Email: [email protected] Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott announced today the successful Logic and Accuracy test of the voting equipment to be used in the upcoming Municipal and Special District Election. The Election, scheduled for November 5, 2013, is for voters in the municipalities of Indialantic and Melbourne Beach, and the Special District of Barefoot Bay. The Brevard Canvassing Board, comprised of Judge John C. Murphy, Commissioner Andy Anderson and Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott, certified the results of the Logic and Accuracy test and gave permission to initiate canvassing of the 494 mail/absentee ballots received to date. “We are very excited to have conducted the first public Logic and Accuracy test of Brevard’s new voting equipment,” said Supervisor Scott. The equipment purchased earlier this year from Election Systems & Software has been certified by the state and federal government. Voters in the November 5th Election will be the first to use this new equipment.
