Viera, FL – October 22, 2019 – Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott recognized the winners of the 6th Annual Launch the Vote Student Art Contest during an awards reception this morning. The winners were then presented with a resolution, sponsored by Commissioner Curt Smith, during the County Commission meeting.

“I am always amazed to see the level of creativity in the artwork submitted by the students showcasing their interest in our electoral process,” shared Lori Scott, Supervisor of Elections. “There was a high-level of excitement during the reception when the winners were presented with medals, ribbons, their certificate, and prizes from our wonderful community partners, Chick-fil-A.”

Last week, art contest judges: Judge Kelly McKibben, Julie Herndon, and Colonel Westanna Bobbitt selected the winners from nearly 300 entries from 10 elementary schools. Winners were 1st Place – Mikala Maria Medina; 2nd Place – Rachel Lorelai Polak; 3rd Place – Ishaani Molugu; and Honorable Mentions Rafael Revueltas, Grace Gallagher, and Tiffany Richter. The art winner selected by Chick-fil-A was Grayson Schmeichel and the Chick-fil-A Honorable Mention was Alyssa Barrios.
