Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott Announces the Start of Candidate Qualifying

Candidate qualifying for the 2014 Primary and General Elections began today at noon. Candidates for County Commission, School Board, and Special District races have until Friday, June 20th at noon to file their qualifying paperwork with the Supervisor of Elections in the Titusville Office located at 400 South Street, Suite 1-F, Titusville, FL 32780.

"Florida Statute allows candidates to pre-file their paperwork 14 days prior to the start of qualifying," said Supervisor Scott. "We had seventeen candidates pre-file their qualification paperwork and an additional five candidates filed within the first hour." County Judicial candidates qualified with the Supervisor of Elections earlier this year, April 28 – May 2, 2014.

This year’s Primary and General Elections will be held on August 26th and November 4th respectively. A complete list of announced and qualified candidates can be found on the Supervisor of Elections website at: www.VoteBrevard.com.
