Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott Collects More Than 800 Pounds of Food for WESH 2’s Share Your Christmas Food Drive

Melbourne, FL – Dec. 8, 2021 — Supervisor Lori Scott and her staff participated in WESH 2’s Share Your Christmas Food Drive. The two-week food drive brought in more than 800 pounds of non-perishable food to benefit central Florida families in need.

“My office has been involved with this food drive for the past 11 years but the overwhelming generosity of this year’s donations from my staff and the community is a humbling reminder of the kindness that runs deep in our county,” said Lori Scott, Brevard County Supervisor of Elections.

The collected donations are shared with the Second Harvest Food Bank, which works with over 550 grassroots organizations across Central Florida to distribute the food to needy families.

The more than 803 pounds of donated items loaded to be delivered to the WESH2 team at the Brevard County drop-off location.
