Post Election Day, the Supervisor of Elections office remains a hub of activity. Supervisor Lori Scott and her staff spent the day conducting two recounts: Cocoa Beach City Commission Seat 3 and Palm Bay City Council Seat 3.

The machine recount resulted in no change in the Palm Bay City Council Seat 3 race. Because the Cocoa Beach City Commission race remained a margin of less than .25% after the machine recount, an additional manual recount was conducted for that race per Florida Statute.

Upon completion of all recount procedures, both Karalyn Woulas and Brian Jacob Anderson remained the respective winners in the Cocoa Beach City Commission Seat 3 and Palm Bay City Council Seat 3 races.

Today’s proceedings were overseen by the Brevard County Canvassing Board, comprised of: Judge Ken Friedland, Commissioner Jim Barfield, and Supervisor Lori Scott. At 5:00 pm on Friday, November 18, the Canvassing Board will certify the official General Election results which will be available on VoteBrevard.com.
