Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic Provides Election Related Information for the 2026 General Election
Melbourne, FL – Sept. 28, 2026 – The 2026 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, and the deadline to register to vote in this election is Monday, October 5th. Voters can visit any of the four administrative offices or go to VoteBrevard.gov to register to vote or update their voter registration.
“Because this will be a two-page ballot, voters are encouraged to check both sides of their ballot pages for races and issues,” stated Tim Bobanic, Brevard County Supervisor of Elections. “To Be Election Ready, I strongly encourage voters to review their sample ballot and have it marked prior to going to the polls to vote. Sample ballots for the General Election can be found on VoteBrevard.gov and will be mailed to all registered voters in Brevard.”
The General Election ballot will contain amendments and referenda that will be voted on by all registered voters in Brevard, three statewide constitutional amendments and three Brevard County amendments. There are five municipalities whose precinct specific ballots will contain amendments and referenda on those ballots: Malabar (1), Melbourne (1), Melbourne Beach (1), Palm Bay (1), and Palm Shores (10).
Voters not already on the mail ballot request list have until 5:00 p.m. on October 22nd to request a mail ballot be sent to them prior to the November 3rd election. Those wishing to vote by mail can request a Mail Ballot on VoteBrevard.gov, by calling 321-290-VOTE (8683), or at any of the four administrative offices. Military and overseas mail ballots were sent out on September 18th, and the domestic mail ballots are being sent on September 30th. Current Mail Ballot requests will expire at the end of 2026, and voters will need to put in a new request to vote by mail after January 1, 2027.
For voters wishing to return their voted mail ballots, secure ballot intake stations are available in the lobby of all four administrative offices or at any of the 10 Early Voting locations during hours of operation. Please check VoteBrevard.gov for hours of availability. Mail ballots must be received in the Supervisor of Elections Offices by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Early Voting for the General Election will be conducted from Monday, October 19th through Saturday, October 31st at 10 locations throughout Brevard. As a reminder, voters may cast their ballot at any Early Voting site. For locations, hours of operation, and estimated wait times, select the “Early Voting” tab on the VoteBrevard.gov website.

The Logic & Accuracy Test of the election equipment, conducted per F.S. 101.5612(2), is scheduled for October 2nd at the Election Support Center, located at 525 N. John Rodes Blvd. in Melbourne, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
