Last Day to Request a Mail Ballot to be sent for 2026 Primary Election

Last Day to Request a Mail Ballot to be sent: Thursday, August 6, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.
Request a mail ballot online using the Mail Ballot Request Service here.

Florida is a Closed Primary State. Only voters registered with a political party can vote in that party’s Primary Election.
During a Primary Election, you will receive a ballot listing the candidates corresponding to the political party reflected on your Voter Information Card. (This includes the Presidential Preference Primary). All voters can vote in nonpartisan races such as judicial, school board, municipal and referenda. The deadline to change your political party is 29 days before each election (Florida Statutes 97.055).
