Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic Provides Election Related Information for the 2025 Special General Election

Melbourne, FL – May 8, 2025 – The 2025 Special General Election will be held on Tuesday, June 10th. The deadline to register to vote in this election, also known as book closing, is Monday, May 12th.  To register to vote or update voter registration records, voters can visit any of the four administrative offices or go to VoteBrevard.gov.

“The turnout for the Special Primary Election was higher than predicted and I am hopeful Brevard voters will keep up that trend and turn out in even higher numbers for the Special General Election,” said Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic. “The Special General Election is open to all registered voters in Senate District 19 and House District 32 and we look forward to them casting their ballot by mail, at an Early Voting site, or at their precinct on Election Day.”

As of Jan. 1, 2025, all previous mail ballot requests expired. Voters who wish to vote by mail and haven’t yet put in a new request in 2025 need to request to receive mail ballots for upcoming elections through 2026. Voters choosing to vote by mail have until 5:00 p.m. on May 29th to request a mail ballot be sent to them prior to the June 10th election. Requests can be made at VoteBrevard.gov, by calling 321-290-VOTE (8683), or in-person at any of the four administrative offices. Military and overseas mail ballots were sent out on April 25th and domestic mail ballots are being sent on May 8th

For voters wishing to return their voted mail ballots in person instead of via the USPS, secure ballot intake stations are available in the lobby of all four administrative offices and at any of the 9 Early Voting locations during hours of operation. Please check VoteBrevard.gov for hours of availability. Mail ballots must be received in the Supervisor of Elections offices by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Early Voting for the Special General Election will be conducted from Saturday, May 31st through June 7th at 9 locations throughout Brevard. As a reminder, voters may cast their ballot at any Early Voting site. For locations, hours of operation, and wait times, select the “Early Voting” tab at the top of the page on the VoteBrevard.gov website.

Voters who choose to vote on Election Day need to remember to vote in their precinct specific polling location. Assigned precincts can be found on VoteBrevard.gov with the “Find Your Precinct” tab, on a voter information card, or on the sample ballot mailed to each registered voter. There have been some polling location changes, so voters are encouraged to verify the location of their Election Day polling place. Polls on Election Day are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“Voter confidence stems directly from their faith in the reliability of how elections are executed. My office has always prioritized election integrity and voters can review the “Election Integrity” tab on VoteBrevard.gov to learn more about the conduct of elections in Brevard. It is equally important to verify election information they’ve seen or heard before sharing it with others, so I encourage them to call 321-290-VOTE (8683) or follow my verified Facebook and X accounts,” said Supervisor Bobanic.

The Logic & Accuracy Test of the election equipment, conducted per F.S. 101.5612(2), is scheduled for May 13th at the Election Support Center, located at 525 N. John Rodes Blvd. in Melbourne, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
